Good morning my dear hoopers. We hear people tell others not to judge them based on their past because they no longer live there. But then we turn around and judge ourselves harder. We remember every detail of a terrible experience, game, practice, conditioning sessions, test, etc, and we won’t allow ourselves to move on. We get stuck in the moment when we could have tied the game up with two free throws that we missed. Or the moment where if I could have kept my player in front of me he/she wouldn’t have scored so many points, ultimately leading to their victory. Let me be honest… those things suck! They do! But it’s over now. That was yesterday, last week, last year, last season. You don’t have to let the past define you… How about you allow your work ethic, hunger, and resilience to predict your present and your future? How about you let that define you? You have the choice to pick where and how your story ends. We won’t keep you in your past misery, so you shouldn’t do that to yourself either.
