Passion Begets Persistence
“Willis, how long did you spend working on your game?” is a hard question because I was ALWAYS working on my game. Always. Everyone knew where they could find me. My parents knew that I’d be calling them to pick me up hours down the line. So who knows. I was always there. But I give those who question a ball park answer on 4 hours a day. Mind you, this is not including practice. 4 hours multiplied by 6 days a week, that’s a part time job! The first part of those hours were spent alone working on my game. The second part was spent working on those same things, only now I’m doing it against the guys. (Game application is a must.) How can you reach the level of success that you want when 25 extra hours at the gym seems like too much?? You can’t. Here’s my secret… It didn’t feel like I was working because my passion kicked in on my way to the gym! Passion will give you the persistence and diligence needed to keep pushing until you become successful.
