Good morning hoopers and all. Let’s think about babies that will try anything. They explore every single thing they possibly can from trying to walk and eventually learning to run, to playing with fire and learning the dangers, to tasting sand, and hopefully not getting sick, to making noises and eventually talking. Babies have no concept of limitations. They try any and everything because they explorative, they want to know, they want to see what works for them. Some things work, some things don’t, but they tried it. That’s how we have to be as hoopers… like a baby (in that sense). Forget about your limitations and explore. Forget about what people say to you or think about you and explore. Exploration is the way to grow your game. I’m not say go to your championship game and try to dunk when you’ve never touched the net before. That’s not an exploration. I’m saying, basketball is an evolving sport, and when you’re working on your game, you should make sure that your game is evolving too. During my college years, I worked on beasting in a different area every off season with the hopes that I was unstoppable for my season year. I let myself explore my game and… well… let’s just say I had a good year every year, and the senior year was the best. But you can’t grow without giving yourself room to do so. And you’ll never give yourself room to do so if you’re wrapped up in your limitations.
