Good morning Hoopers and all! Just a little encouragement for the middle of the week. We all have goals… I hope. Some we’ve reached, some are a work in progress, and others, you’re thinking about throwing in the towel. I know it gets tough. It’s off season and we may not have had the season we wanted to have. It’s AAU season and we may not be playing how we ought to. Maybe our practice and trainings are getting tough mentally, which is making it tough physically (or vice versa). Maybe we’re in a shooting slump. Maybe we can’t defend a door knob. Maybe we can’t make the right decisions on the court to save our lives. I don’t know! But whatever it is, it’s ok to NOT be ok. It’s ok the feel “some type of way.” It’s ok to be disappointed. As a matter of fact, it shows that you care. It shows that you want better! But what you do with these emotions is the question. Are they fueling you to do better? Or are they the host/hostess of your pity party? Emotions bring passion… so it always makes me happy to see people emotional or passionate about basketball (or wherever their passion lies). But let’s just make sure that we are using these emotions to our advantage! You got this!
