Good morning IG/Hoopers! Happy Hump Day! We’re half way through the week and some of us are at a crossroads. Some of us have been putting in some work and we’re not sure if we will be able to see the results we want to see or even reach the goals that we want to reach. So what do we do? Do we throw in the towel? Or do we keep pushing? Well, if you want it bad enough (basketball, your sport, education, etc) throwing in the towel shouldn’t be an option.
So now that we know we’re not going to quit, let’s look at the what we will do. We have to give it our all. That’s the absolute bottom line. If you don’t make it happen for yourself, who will? No one. So it’s up to YOU to make it happen. For my hoopers, you have to “make” a certain amount of jump shots, 1 and 2 dribble pull ups, floaters, 3 pointers, free throws, etc. You have to work on your footwork, agility, explosion, defensive principles, etc. You have to watch film, study the game, learn from yourself and others, etc. You have to get plenty of rest, be mindful of what you watch and listen to, eat well, etc. Being an elite hooper (or elite ANYTHING) is a lifestyle… not something that you do or have done.
When you give it your all, make it your lifestyle, it’s all about when “it” will happen for you… not if!
