Good morning, Hoopers! I hope our week’s are off to a great start. I hope we had a good weekend of Spring Ball! Everyone can’t do well all the time, so there may be some of you out there who have tripped up a little bit over the weekend. Some of you may have even fallen! Between missing crucial shots, playing suspect defense, coaches yelling at you, heck, parents yelling at you, maybe you didn’t get in the game… I know that can be tough. But keep your head up! Things may have been tough but it’s up to you if you allow things to stay that way.
The quote says that even if you fall into the river, you don’t HAVE TO drown! If you get up, bounce back, become resilient, (in basketball) work harder, work smarter, practice more on what you need, study yourself and others to prevent the same mistakes, have a game plan for success and work diligently on it daily, you don’t have to drown. But it’s up to you how you respond to falling in the river.
I just want to encourage you to spend this week getting out of whatever negative situation that you’re not letting go of. Last week is over. We have a new week ahead of us. At least two practices and a game are coming up to show that you are not drowning! So let’s bounce back!
